I have over 12 years experience as a counsellor and as well as a background in psychodynamic counselling, I have completed CBT therapy sessions with Hertfordshire MIND Network and provided telephone counselling for domestic violence victims. I have enjoyed working with a wide range of clients including those with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, addictions and a variety of different issues. During sessions, you will not be rushed and will have a safe space to tackle your issues.
I believe counselling gives us the opportunity to work through painful experiences and emotions, giving us the time and space to improve our relationships and lifestyles.
The sessions can help bring clarity to your thoughts and we can work together to resolve the root of the problem.
It can be hard asking for help, and even more so when searching for a stranger to confide in and rely on. I understand the anxiety that goes along with this process and will do everything I can to make it as comfortable as possible.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy MBACP. This is important, as it means that I am bound by their code of conduct and ethics to ensure that your therapy will be practiced to a highly professional standard.
I have a diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from Highgate Counselling Centre in North London and this is also a BACP accredited course.
As well as the psychodynamic approach, I utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in my work with clients. In addition to my private clients, I also work for Clear Counselling, an organisation that provides counselling to those within the Criminal Justice System in the West Midlands and Warwickshire.
