About me

Welcome to my profile.

My name is Jadzia and I am an experienced and highly trained clinical psychologist. I work with individuals, families and couples. I feel passionate about offering psychological services to others because I understand that life can through different and sometimes unexpected challenges at us. Sometimes these life events can make us question or challenge the way we have been coping and thinking about our lives, other people and our way of being. Sometimes these challenges can also make us feel as if we are not coping with them the way we would like to and consequently we might experience uncomfortable feelings.

While experiencing anxiety, low mood or other psychological difficulties is sometimes short-lifted and can resolve itself, occasionally we might need a helping hand in dealing with these. This is where I can help. I am warm, approachable and patient clinical psychologist. Whatever you bring to the session you can be sure that I will listen to you with curiosity, compassion and without making any judgements.

My aim in therapy is to work with you, to instil hope (if this has been lost), to empower you and give you skills to cope with your challenges. As a Clinical Psychologist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness. The most important facet of therapy for me, however, is the therapeutic relationship. This means that my approach is primarily guided by what you bring to the session and the interaction between us.

I feel passionate about working with individuals from all walks of life, sexual orientation, gender, age, ethnicity and race. I also provide services in Polish.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • MSc (Hons) in Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience
  • BSc (Hons) in Psychology /Clinical Psychology

Throughout my career I have helped many adults, young people and families in managing and adjusting to difficulties that they faced throughout their lives.

Early on in my career, I worked with children, families and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions, such as autistics spectrum disorder (ASD) and ADHD.  Following from this, I worked across various community mental health settings, helping adults, young people and families with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and issues related to adjusting to life following brain injury. After this I undertook a role as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist in a clinical health and palliative care team. In this role I worked with adults who struggled with managing their physical health conditions (e.g. diabetes, cancer, coronary heart disease, ME). I also worked with families and adults facing difficulties related to terminal diagnosis, such as adjustment, end of life anxiety/depression, grief and bereavement.
