Dr Jadwiga (Jadzia) Duncan-Bosu, DClinPsy, HCPC Registered
I am an experienced and skilled clinical psychologist. I offer assessments and evidence based psychological therapy for individuals, young people, families and couples. My main therapeutic approaches include CBT, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), systemic and mindfulness techniques. The most important feature of therapy for me, however, is the therapeutic relationship. This means that my approach is primarily guided by what you bring to the session and the interaction between us.
As a clinical psychologist I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, such as anxiety, low mood, depression, panic attacks, bereavement, stress, difficulties in adjusting to life events and relationship difficulties. I have a special interest in working with individuals and families affected by physical health problems (i.e. cancer, diabetics, coronary heart disease) and neurodovelopmental conditions, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD.
I am a warm, approachable and patient therapist. Whatever you bring to the session you can be sure that I will listen to you with curiosity, compassion and without making any judgements. I have skills and experience of working with individuals and families from a wide range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I work with individuals with different sexual orientation, gender and race.
