About me
Pregnancy and the transition into motherhood can evoke feelings of overwhelm, vulnerability or uncertainty. As time goes on, the daily challenges of balancing responsibilities in a fast paced world can contribute to exhaustion and, in some cases, burnout. If this sounds familiar or you find yourself struggling during your pregnancy or throughout your motherhood journey, I offer a relaxed, non-judgemental space to talk about how you feel and collaboratively, explore ways to help you cope during this time.
I have extensive experience working with clients who are struggling with a wide range of presenting needs, including pre/postnatal issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress and relationship breakdowns. Through my own personal and professional experiences both as a mother and a counsellor I developed a passion to offer mothers and parents a safe space to explore the impact of pregnancy and parenthood. Empowered by this passion I trained in maternal mental health through Perinatal Support International to be able to offer this support to women and families.
As an integrative counsellor I believe there isn’t just one therapeutic approach that can support all clients. Instead, I recognise the person and their individual circumstances. Through integrative counselling I incorporate elements of different approaches to tailor the counselling to meet the needs of my clients. Collaboratively, we can explore, understand, establish techniques and ways of working together to overcome these challenges.
Alongside individual counselling, I also offer couples counselling to support couples to discuss conflicts, improve communication and work through challenges that may arise within their relationship.
