Jackie Twine - BA Hons Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy
Hi, welcome to my profile. I have worked as a counsellor for about ten years and have also worked for many years within Portsmouth City Council supporting people struggling with abusive and unhealthy relationships, depression, anxiety and substance misuse. I know how easy it is to feel that life has brought you so low, that you can't make sense of your situation and that can bring feelings of hopelessness and confusion, and a sense of being stuck and unable to move forward. I know how frightening that can be.
I have many years experience working with people who are struggling with generalized anxiety, depression, the mess of feelings that stem from bereavement, and overwhelming family issues.
As a mature and inclusive Christian I also have a depth of experience of people struggling with aspects of their faith, spirituality and relationships within the church community. I also have experience of those wanting to explore their sexuality, in order to become more self aware and self accepting.
I have significant experience empowering people struggling with low self-esteem, having devised and run a series of highly successful workshops.
I have a warm non-judgemental relational style of approach and I work in a way that will help you make sense of what is happening, gain a clearer perspective which will then empower you to move forward in the direction of your choosing.
