As a psychotherapeutic counsellor I offer a warm and empathetic environment where you can voice your concerns and talk freely without judgement. Being an 'integrative' psychotherapist, I use different models of therapy to meet individual need; you will be treated as the unique individual you are.
A first session enables us to explore your concerns and will allow us to establish how best we can work together towards positive outcomes. You may be a little daunted about seeing a counsellor, or feel that your problems are not serious enough. Please put these thoughts aside.
It is of absolute importance that you are able to feel comfortable with me and that we build a relationship of trust. You are under no obligation, and I will completely understand, if for any reason you don't wish to continue after our first meeting.
I work from a peaceful rural location on the outskirts of Horsham.

Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, as well as Diplomas in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills. I am a member of the National Counselling Society which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under its Accredited Voluntary Register (AVR) scheme.
We all need something to call our own, both for good mental health and for relaxation. I try to spend time in my own studio space where I can lose myself in my painting.
In addition to my private work I have previously given voluntary time in Art for Health at the Fountain Centre, part of the St Luke's Cancer Centre in Guildford.

Areas of counselling I deal with
Sessions cost £45 but reduced rates are available for students or those experiencing financial hardship. I prefer to take payment at the beginning of each session to keep things simple, unfortunately I am not able to take credit cards.
If home visits become an option once a therapeutic relationship has been established, there may be an additional charge for time and travelling expenses, to be mutually agreed.
