About me

I am a friendly, approachable, caring person and I am extremely committed to my counselling practice.

I have worked though a number of personal issues with counsellors over the years. I feel this has helped me be more empathic in my own counselling work.

I work in a purely person-centred way, creating a safe, comfortable, confidential space for people to explore their issues.

The founder of this approach is Carl Rogers. He wrote " People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. I don't try to control a sunset, I watch in awe as it unfolds".

I like to think I help people out of the darkness and into the light.

How I would work with you

If you feel you would like to work with me, contact me as detailed above. We would arrange a free half-hour session. I would explain my approach and how we might work together.

I understand that making this first step can seem very daunting but I can assure you that I will do my best to put you at ease and support you through the process.

If those goes well, we would arrange weekly 60 minute sessions to help you address the issues you are facing. We would review your progress frequently and adjust our work as neccessary.

During the many years I have been counselling I have helped numerous people who have sought help from the organisations I have worked with.

I set up a counselling service for a local cancer support group. I supported a team of student counsellors and found it extremely rewarding.

I have helped many people who are in pain in some way. I feel as though I have been able to offer them my complete attention and support as they acknowledge and work through their issues. This enables them to become empowered and be able to live a more fulfilled life and reach their full potential.
