Jackie Bould BSc, NCS (Accred)
As a Registered Nurse for 45 years, I decided to re train as a counsellor. Having never had the time to sit and talk with my patients due to a heavy workload, counselling seemed to be the right progression in my life. I started counselling training in 2001 and have never looked back.
I have trained as a clinical supervisor so also support trainee counsellors as well as qualified ones.
I set up a charity that offers counselling and therapeutic play to children and young people in West Yorkshire between the ages of 3-21 in 2008.(ESCAYP)
I think it is very important to make sure that you feel ok with your new counsellor as we can't expect to like everybody in our lives so I offer a free 15 minute meet up.
I offer counselling from my home address in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, in a safe & confidential setting. This is easily accessible from the M62 junction 25.
There are two steps to access the premises.
I work with most issues which include sexual/physical abuse, bereavement, domestic violence, Health Issues, low self esteem & confidence, health issues etc
I offer counselling or therapeutic play with Children & Young people aged 7+.
I currently work 12-7pm on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.

Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
