About me

Feeling low, anxious, or struggling with self-worth? These are feelings we all experience at different points in life, and it can be overwhelming when they persist. I’m Izabela, a fully qualified Pluralistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, and I’m here to help you navigate these challenges and find your way back to living a more positive and fulfilling life.

Based in Canterbury, Kent, I bring over a decade of professional experience in therapeutic roles, including:

  • Occupational Therapy within the NHS
  • Cognitive Rehabilitation at Krysalis
  • Wellbeing Coordinator with the mental health charity Mind
  • Counsellor at Cruse Bereavement Support and Place2Be

Drawing from this extensive background, I’ve established my own private counselling practice to provide a space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported.

Flexible Counselling for Modern Life

I offer online and telephone counselling to fit seamlessly around your busy schedule - whether you need to talk after work, during a lunch break, or from the comfort of your home.

A Safe, Adaptable & Collaborative Approach

My goal is to create a relaxed, judgment-free environment where you can open up about what’s on your mind. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating grief, managing stress, or facing life’s challenges, we’ll work together to find what works best for you.

As a pluralist, I tailor my approach to suit your unique needs, combining elements from various counselling theories. You remain in control of your therapy, and we’ll regularly check in to ensure the sessions are meeting your goals.

Why Choose Me?

Clients often tell me they feel comfortable with me right away, and I strive to make each session empathetic, understanding, and kind. With my experience working with diverse clients, including children, young adults, and neurodiverse individuals, I specialise in addressing a wide range of personal struggles, such as:

  • Abuse (emotional, physical, sexual)
  • ADHD
  • Anger and anxiety
  • Bereavement and loss (including pet bereavement)
  • Depression
  • Identity and gender issues
  • Illness and isolation
  • Low self-esteem
  • Money worries
  • Panic attacks
  • Relationships and family issues
  • Stress, trauma, and workplace challenges

Your Journey Starts Here

Our work together begins with a free, 20-minute online assessment. This session helps us understand your needs and determine whether I’m the right therapist for you. It’s also your opportunity to see if you feel comfortable working with me.

Ready to Talk?

I offer counselling in English and Polish and provide a straightforward online booking system, giving you full control over your therapy schedule. Sessions can be short-term (6–12 weeks) or long-term, depending on your needs.
