About me

Hello and welcome!

My journey to psychotherapy and counselling began 30 years ago during the extensive study of yoga, meditation, healing and eastern philosophy. This led me to become a yoga and meditation teacher in order to assist others to find their way back 'home' to wholeness of body, mind, soul and spirit. Eventually I was led to a study of western psychology during which I obtained a diploma in psychotherapy & counselling.

I am confident that my experience in both fields of spirituality and psychology has given me a unique opportunity to be able to access deeper layers of human psyche in order to facilitate long-lasting positive change, deep insights, self-awareness and self-empowerment.  The Greek term 'psykhē' is defined as 'mind', 'soul', 'spirit', 'life' and during therapy the clients are encouraged to discover, explore and heal these layers.

In my therapeutic work I work collaboratively with my clients and utilise both: creative-intuitive and rational approaches. These approaches are aimed at helping my clients to unlock stubborn patterns and issues that are blocking their experience of inner peace, contentment and positive relationship. I often draw on Jungian archetypes, dreams and imagination in order to bypass the rigidity of conscious mind and to enable access to the core layer of trauma or issue, as well as to help generate a more unique perspective and insight.

I describe myself as an Integrative Counsellor and draw on the variety of theoretical models such as Psychodynamic, Jungian, Gestalt, Trauma Release Focusing and CBT all of which are carefully selected to suit the unique needs of my clients and their specific issues.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
