About me

My name is Isla and I am a highly trained psychotherapeutic counsellor, having qualified from one of the UK’s most respected training establishments.

Reaching out for support is the first and most important step towards personal change. It can feel daunting and perhaps overwhelming, so I encourage all new clients to book an introductory call in order that we can discuss your needs. I offer a type of therapy that explores how our history might impact our current patterns of behaviour and a chance to make sense of what seems so difficult. This means a very collaborative approach that can feel challenging but ultimately rewarding.

My experience includes working in the charity sector, supporting survivors of sexual violence, individuals coping with bereavement, and those struggling with anxiety and depression. I take a trauma-informed approach, with extensive experience in helping clients navigate both childhood trauma and traumatic events later in life.

As a veteran, I understand the unique challenges that come with serving in the Armed Forces. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences with understanding and support.

Above all, I welcome anyone seeking change in their life. Whether you are facing personal challenges, feeling stuck, or simply looking for a new direction, I am here to support you.

For more information please visit my website where you can contact me for an initial consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am highly trained and qualified with a Level 6 in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from one of the most distinguished training establishments in the UK. I am currently completing an additional MSc degree as an Integrative Psychotherapist.

I have worked in the charity sector with survivors of sexual violence, bereavement and those who struggle with anxiety and depression.

I work in a trauma informed way and am experienced in working with both childhood trauma and traumatic experiences later in life.

As a veteran, I offer a safe space that recognises the challenges of having worked or working in the Armed Forces.
