About me

Hi, I’m Isla. I’m a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, trained at one of the UK’s leading institutions. I offer a safe, compassionate and non judgemental space to explore whatever is bringing you to therapy whether it is anxiety, trauma, grief, or simply a sense that something needs to change.

Reaching out can feel daunting, so I encourage new clients to start with a free introductory call. This gives us a chance to talk about what you’re looking for and how we might work together.

My approach is collaborative and rooted in the understanding that our past often shapes how we experience the present. Together, we’ll explore those patterns, working at your pace to make sense of what feels difficult, and to move towards change.

I have particular experience supporting survivors of sexual violence, those living with depression or anxiety, and people navigating grief or trauma whether from early life or more recent events. As a veteran myself, I also offer informed support to others who have served in the Armed Forces.

Whoever you are, and whatever you’re facing, you’re welcome here. If you’re ready to take the next step, you can find more details and book an initial consultation through my website.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am highly trained and qualified with a Level 6 in Psychotherapeutic Counselling from one of the most distinguished training establishments in the UK. I am currently completing an additional MSc degree as an Integrative Psychotherapist.

I have worked in the charity sector with survivors of sexual violence, bereavement and those who struggle with anxiety and depression.

I work in a trauma informed way and am experienced in working with both childhood trauma and traumatic experiences later in life.

As a veteran, I offer a safe space that recognises the challenges of having worked or working in the Armed Forces.
