Ishrat Sultana - UKCP & MBACP Registered
I am a fully qualified and accredited UKCP Psychotherapist with a Masters Degree in Integrative Psychotherapy.
Integrating a variety of distinct Psychotherapeutic and Counselling approaches, I personalise my therapeutic service to meet your individual needs. I aim to promote your autonomy and offer therapy in a way that will help you to gain a better understanding of yourself, to help you to find your own solutions to resolve or cope with your situation.
My professional career includes working within organisations such as the NHS, Universities & Education, Probation & Prison services, Secure units and Women's centres as well as private practice. This includes vast experience working with a wide variety of issues with lots of different demographics, offering both long-term and short term therapy.
In additional to English, I also offer therapy in both Urdu and Hindi. I have a special interest, experience and knowledge of working with diverse issues such as culture, religion, identity and shame. This includes being interviewed on the radio about body shame and delivering training on shame and honour based abuse.
My private practice is based within a quiet private building in the city centre of Nottingham, with ground floor availability for those with mobility issues and free parking behind the premises.
