Ioana Wiggins.Aleva Counselling
I work with adults and older people dealing with bereavement, anxiety, or depression. My name is Ioana and I am a BACP registered counsellor in Bournemouth.
You are probably here in search of support at a painful and overwhelming time in your life.
Perhaps you suffered a bereavement and you are wondering if how you feel is "normal" and how long will it last. It can be difficult to talk to friends or family in times of grief. You might be worrying about upsetting others or feeling misunderstood by them.
You do not have to go through this alone. I can help. Counselling with me will give you a chance to talk about what is troubling you, in confidence and without the worry of feeling judged.
A free 15 min introductory call is available for all new clients, to help us decide if we can work together well. You can book this directly via my website. This is a no-obligation call. In fact, you might prefer to take some time afterwards to think about it before letting me know if you would like to start working together (or not).
Counselling sessions are then available in-person, walk-and-talk, online via Zoom, or over the phone, between 8 am-8 pm weekdays and 8 am-12 pm on Saturdays.
I speak both English and Romanian.
I look forward to welcoming you to Aleva Counselling.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
