About us

Inspire Support Services, Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Inspire Support Services is a health provider that provide counselling and psychotherapist established in Kent and Medway. We have an understanding of trauma from the work and support we provide with families and the impact this can have on people’s lives including childhood difficulties. We aim to make counselling more accessible and provide a person-centred approach with integrative methods and holistic values.

We have helped people with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, PTDS, eating disorders, OCD, relationship problems, abuse, self-harm, parenting issues, trauma, generalized anxiety disorder, low self-esteem and many more. We can help you to explore your past experiences, your current day-to-day feelings and what coping mechanisms you may need for the future, providing a safe space for you to talk.

There are a wide variety of reasons why people seek counselling, some of them could be to address a specific condition, for others, the motivation for therapy may begin with a broader sense that something is amiss, such as a lack of happiness or contentment in one's life. Through the process of counselling, you can work through and address issues that are bothering you which can help with mental health and wellbeing. When we're stuck in life, it's easy to lose hope that things will ever get better. Counselling can be a good place to start and be beneficial for anyone, no matter where they are in life's journey.

When you are ready, we are here to listen.

Where can you find us?

We have a newly refurbished well-being centre located in Gillingham, Medway for face-to-face appointments.

We also offer secure online appointments via encrypted digital platforms.

We are able to offer telephone appointments.

How does it work?

When you are ready, get in contact with the well-being co-ordinator by a method that feels comfortable for you. We will ask for some short information in relation to what you are seeking therapy for, this will allow us to best match you up with the right counsellor. We will offer an ‘assessment session’ for free, this means that we will have a discussion via the best method that suits you to best determine the type of therapy that will enhance your therapeutic outcomes.

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
