About me

Hi, my name is Ilia. I am a qualified Integrative Transpersonal Counsellor offering online counselling sessions. I provide a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where I can support you during life’s challenges.

These may include working through difficult experiences, coping with trauma, having feelings of anxiousness, depression or generally feeling ‘stuck’.

It might be that at this point in your life you feel the need for change but the thought of it makes you apprehensive. Or that people around you don’t seem to see who you truly are and you feel emotionally disconnected, self-critical and the need to constantly justify yourself.

We can work together to see where these feelings may stem from and try reframe them to let change and growth take place. More often than not, these feelings are rooted in experiences from our young, sometimes painful past. We will be able to revisit those experiences to allow for understanding and self-compassion to pave the way forward.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I’m familiar with the struggles around questioning your sexuality and/or gender. If this is something you’re facing, I can walk the path towards self-acceptance with you over rough or smooth terrains.

I’m passionate about helping people work through whatever may be holding them back from feeling or being their authentic selves.

In my work, I join each client on a journey to find a place where past and present experiences meet. Together, we create an explorative space to allow for better self-understanding and healing, while also listening to what is soulfully shared through images, dreams and poetry. As we explore new or forgotten paths, your true self can, and will, find its voice and reach its full potential.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
