About me

I work with teens and adults struggling to overcome issues from their past.

Sharing your innermost feelings can seem daunting, so the sessions will proceed at a pace that’s right for you. Counselling is about building a relationship founded on acceptance, compassion, and trust to make you feel comfortable sharing during sessions. Working together, we will realign you to your authentic, genuine nature and explore your emotions while working through past issues that may get in the way of you living the life you want.

I work integrative and holistically; this means I use a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to your individual needs. I am a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive therapist - I am aware of the mental, emotional, and physical impact of trauma and work safely to equip you with tools to help manage trauma symptoms. Cultural sensitivity means I’m respectful of cultural diversity. I am also aware of the impact that racism and other forms of discrimination have on mental health.

The sessions are 50 minutes long, and I offer short term, long term, or open-ended weekly sessions on the telephone or Zoom.

I have worked in various settings, including educational settings, community organisations and mental health charities.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
