About me
My friends would describe me as a warm, bubbly and compassionate person. I am someone who is always ready to give people time. I understand it can be nerve wrecking attending therapy and seeking help. Having grown up in a culture where mental health , was not discussed I am hoping to help change the stigmatism around mental health. Please be reassured that I am here to help with your struggle. My long term goal is to help people feel empowered in order for them to be the best version of themselves. I would like people to talk about mental health as if it does not define them.
I am passionate about delivering high quality therapy that is personalised, accessible, caring and compassionate. In my therapy sessions I create a safe, contained and non-judgemental environment. I believe in having an important relationship with yourself. Learning to understand your mind, how your brain works and drives your thoughts and behaviours is a positive way in helping you improve your mental health and wellbeing. By having the right tools in your toolbox can help your manage stress, anxiety and low mood (depression) without it feeling overwhelming.
I am a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist who is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).
Having worked in the NHS for over 5 years, I can therapeutically help you with symptoms of common mental health difficulties such as Depression, Low Mood, Low self-esteem, Generalised anxiety disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Social Anxiety and Phobias. I am also able to work therapeutically with you if you present with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
I am familiar with working with clients experiencing long term health conditions such as Diabetes, COPD, IBS and Fibromyalgia. I am able to offer you support with managing the long-standing effects from these conditions and how they may impact on mental health.
I am familiar with working with clients experiencing difficulties with work and work-place stress.
I am fluent in Gujarati and can provide treatment in this language, in addition to English.
If you feel you are ready to learn ways to manage stress, anxiety and depression please get in touch and let's tackle them together.

Further information
Thought Works Therapy Limited aim is to provide a ‘safe place’ to help you develop your own resilience toolkit, which will aid you through difficult times. Our therapy is honest, empowering and empathetic; and this helps us to build a strong and genuine therapeutic relationship.
Thought Works Therapy understands the difficulties we may each face, and we provide a therapeutic service which is equal, accessible and fair. We can tailor our therapy to meet your needs, be they weekly or fortnightly sessions, or indeed one of the sessions.
We primarily provide Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is a talking psychotherapy involving practical techniques and interventions. CBT is based on the principle that we experience mental health problems including stress, anxiety and depression because of a change in our thoughts, emotions or behaviours. Through working together with your therapist, you can identify and change these symptoms and improve your mental wellbeing.
I receive regular clinical supervision, to ensure client safety and that intervention that is offered is at the highest standard.
If there is anything you can’t find on our website then please feel free to get in touch as we will most likely be able to meet your needs. We look forward to welcoming you at Thought Works Therapy Limited and helping you on your mental health journey.
