Howard Davis MBACP (Accred). Wild Mind Counselling
Old College Gate
Borough House Rooms
78-80 Borough High Street
Hello, my name is Howard. I am an experienced mindfulness-based gestalt counsellor offering quality, affordable, indoor counselling in Borough High Street and outdoor, contemplative Walk 'n Talk sessions in various London park spaces and woodlands. I invite you to have a read through of my counselling profile and to contact me if you have any questions or wish to go ahead and arrange an initial session.
What I offer
For each of us, there are times when we feel stuck, depressed, lost, hopeless and anxious. Perhaps we've gone through or in the midst of a major life transition - a change of career, the breakup of a relationship, the death of a friend or family member, or a disturbing health diagnosis. Or perhaps we're exhausted, confused, or unsure of what is truly being asked of us. We sense the potential to feel more connected, more alive, and more intimately engaged with ourselves, others, and what is possible; we know we have something to offer to this world, but we can't quite access it.
I offer myself as a counsellor to you, especially if you
- want to explore and clarify specific personal problems
- are experiencing a life crisis
- are interested in personal development and growth
- are suffering from chronic emotional problems
My Counselling Room
My indoor counselling practice is held in a naturally bright, contemporary suite of counselling rooms at Borough House on Borough High Street very close to London Bridge underground and mainline stations. Please see my website for full details.
Walk 'n Talk Outdoor Counselling
My ‘Walk 'n Talk’ outdoor practice, a London version of the Japanese practice of forest bathing, is held in various tree filled outdoor spaces including Dulwich and Sydenham Woods, Hampstead Heath, Greenwich Park, Peckham Rye Park and Brockwell Park. Taking counselling outdoors can reconnect us when we feel isolated and overwhelmed and bring a restorative effect to both our physical and mental wellbeing. Over the past few years, I have found it is becoming a more accepted way of having therapy that brings successful results for a wide range of people.
I offer an introductory session where we can both decide whether we would like to work together with no obligation if you do not wish to continue. Please send me an email or text/call if you would like to find out more.
