About me
Why Therapy?
Whether you are new to therapy or have been in therapy before, are you interested in having a new experience and going on a journey of self exploration to allow you to know yourself better? In knowing yourself better, often you will feel more connected to the world and those closest to you which brings infinite fulfilment and joy to life.
Self-awareness can allow patterns to be seen between the past and the present and most importantly help us with the here and now. Whether or not there is something challenging you in this moment, it is through reflection upon all the parts of you which can make you feel more whole and stronger to deal with the inevitable ups and downs of life.Whatever the help you are seeking personally, whatever your walk of life, I endeavour to help you navigate through challenges or hardships and uncover qualities within yourself that simply haven’t yet been found to live a mentally healthier and more fulfilled life.
Training, qualifications & experience
How I work;
Psychodynamic Therapy
This considers unconscious feelings and mental processes which can be hidden from our awareness but still impact how we act and feel today. It allows us to consider not only what the problem might be but also the cause of it and how past experiences and relationships may have contributed to this.
Person Centred Therapy
This considers our relationships and how we behave in them, and how this then can impact our everyday lives. It can help pick up patterns and consider more helpful ways of interacting and develop better self-awareness and relational skills.
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
This considers how we can accept our thoughts and feelings as oppose to battling them, because the battle can drain us emotionally and leave us depleted of resources to live a rich and meaningful life. It is about focusing on our values, and encouraging you to commit to doing the things in life that line up with those values and letting go of the things that don’t.

I have a commercial background of over 10 years in Relationship and Sales Management during which time I deepened my understanding of people and their behaviour in a variety of settings. I also gained insight into motivational work to support personal and professional development alongside considering leadership, work-life balance and stress management. My interest in people and behaviours I believe stemmed from extensive voluntary work in the Youth Offending sector coupled with my degree in Sociology.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

The Sessions
Our therapy sessions would be held weekly at the same time and day each week to retain consistency which is necessary to allow for a safe and secure therapeutic relationship. I am currently offering virtual sessions via video call which I have had extensive experience in alongside face to face work, however, the online approach has been proven to be equally effective therapeutically and offers you the ability to have therapy in a safe space in which you choose.
