About me
Fed up of feeling scared of your anger? If you're feeling you need change, then you're in the right place. With over a decade of working with anger I'm here to support you through the shame and into change...
Anger is such a difficult emotion, and might feel like the only one at times! But it's also incredibly misunderstood and there is so much more to learn about it. For those who have been brought up female, who have menstrual cycles, and those who are neurodivergent, anger can be even more complex!
I don't work only with anger, in fact, a lot of my work with anger has come out of working around something else entirely! See below for more about my experience with other issues.
If you're ready to take back control, head to my website at www.hollytootell.co.uk to book in for a free 20 minute chat. There we can talk a bit more about what you might need from therapy, and answer any questions you might have. Or feel free to call or email me on the details linked on the top of this page. I will respond to all enquiries as soon as I can, but if contacting by phone please make sure to leave me a voicemail or text so I can respond to you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 10 years of experience, specialising in Anger and Emotional Management. This includes delivering psychoeducation and emotional support as co-facilitator for men's anger management groups at the BRAVE Project. I went on to become lead developer and facilitator for the women's anger management project. Anger is still an enormous passion of mine, and I continue to regularly engage with research but also developing my own ideas and theories around understanding anger. I am now developing an ongoing understanding and learning around how anger relates to menstrual health and neurodivergence.
Some of my core certificates and training are:
- PG Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy (2016) – Leeds Beckett University [BACP Accredited]
- BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Therapeutic Studies (2011) – Leeds Metropolitan University
- Certificate in Therapeutic Supervision (2020) – CPCAB
- Diploma in Online Therapy (2020) – OCST [ACTO Approved]
I also have experience counselling young people, supporting and supervising staff and therapists who work with young people. I have been a Supervisor and Counselling Co-ordinator for Step 2 Young People's Health for a number of years.
I take continuous professional development and training regularly, including in; working with couples, living and working with neurodiversity, menstrual cycle awareness, working with shame and many more.

Additional information
I offer two ways to work with me in therapy; The Steady Way and The Casual Way..
The Steady Way, may be for you if you really want to commit to therapy, but you just need a bit of flexibility. You pay for the sessions upfront, but then it’s taken care of and all you need to do is decide when.
The Casual Way, may be best for you if you want ultimate flexibility for your therapy. You book your sessions as and when you want them.
All of my work is mainly online. I have the ability to offer in person therapy, though this is very limited availability. We can discuss how you wish to work in our intro chat.
