About me
Hi welcome to my profile.
Focus not on what's done, but on what you can still be
I am an integrative counsellor which means I use a range of different counselling models to support you in a way that best suit your needs.
With over 30 years as a mental health nurse, I've supported individuals facing diverse challenges. My experiences include an 18 month counselling placement in a domestic abuse service, helping clients navigate some of life's most complex and emotionally challenging situations. I understand how anxiety depression and trauma can affect all areas of life from sleep and energy to overall balance. My approach combines practical tools with genuine understanding, ensuring your experiences, values and identity are respected.
We can work on challenges such as:
Anxiety: Do you find yourself lying awake with racing thoughts or feeling tense throughout the day? We can explore your anxiety and develop tools to calm your mind, ease your body and help you rest better.
Depression: Struggling to get out of bed or feeling weighed down? Counselling provides a safe space to share feelings and take steps towards hope and renewed energy.
Relationship Challenges: Struggling with loneliness or strained relationships? We can explore patterns, improve communications and foster healthier relationships.
Work related stress: Feeling overwhelmed by work? Are work pressures keeping you up at night or leaving you too exhausted to enjoy life? Let's explore ways to reduce stress, boost focus and create a healthier work balance.
Domestic Abuse: If you are living with or recovering from abuse, know you're not alone. Reaching out for support is a brave step. I'm here to help you feel safer, rebuild confidence and take steps towards healing at your pace.
Living with long term health Condition: Facing health challenges and uncertain about the future? Having walked this path myself, I bring empathy and support to help you adapt and build a life of meaning.
I offer face to face and online therapy (via Zoom, WhatsApp or telephone) so that you access support the way that works best for you.
I offer a free 15 minute introductory call where we can discuss what you're looking for in therapy. Drop me a message and I will ring you. If we decide to work together, we will agree on a regular weekly session either open-ended or for an initial six session with the option to review.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
