About me

Are you feeling low, confused, anxious or sad? Maybe you’ve lost someone close to you or find yourself stuck in a cycle of self-sabotaging behaviour. Or perhaps you’ve realised that you no longer know who you truly are. If you’re exhausted and overwhelmed by your feelings, if you’re struggling just to get through each day – you’re not alone.

Let me help you. My passion for helping others stems from a genuine desire to see individuals reclaim their lives and find inner peace. I know how important it is to feel listened to, heard and understood.

During our sessions, I will create a safe and non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. I’ll work with you to help you develop coping strategies, enhance your self-awareness and foster personal growth.

Through our therapeutic partnership, I’ll empower you with the tools and insights necessary to overcome challenges, navigate transitions and achieve personal fulfilment.

I understand that every person is unique, that we all think, feel and experience life differently. I'm therefore committed to tailoring our sessions to meet your individual needs, ensuring a therapeutic journey that addresses your concerns effectively.

With so many counsellors offering their services, finding one who feels right for you, someone you feel able to trust with those thoughts and feelings you may be struggling to reveal to those closest to you, is really important. A written profile can only tell you so much.

As such, I offer a free 30 minute introductory telephone or online call, during which you can find out how I work, ask any questions you may have and explain a little about what has brought you to counselling. From there, we can decide whether to continue and arrange further sessions.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
