About me

 Hello and welcome!

Are you feeling overwhelmed, lost, alone and not are unsure  which direction to take in your life?  Are you struggling with feelings of shame, anger, and or guilt?

I offer a Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy and have been I have been running a Private Practice since  2011, when  completed my training at the Karuna Institute.

During this time, I have supported people who are working through various mental and emotional health challenges, including anxiety, depression, P.T.S.D, addictions, family disfunction, and relationship issues.

I see and understand these challenges to have their roots  in trauma.

My work is underpinned by Buddhist principles and practice and is carries  influences of  Jungian and Humanistic Psychology as well as Family Constellation principles and Shamanic Practice.

I offer a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space where you can explore the feelings, the thoughts, and relational patterns which get in the way of you transforming your life  and reaching your  full potential.

To support this process, I can include the practice of guided meditation, body scans, body movement, artwork, dream work and journal writing.

These practices can help you to increase your self-awareness by supporting you to come into your body which allows you to become present to your inner experience and therefore connect with who you are, your essential nature.

I know how difficult it is to make that first step and ask for help from someone you have never met, so I would like to welcome you to give me a call or send me an email to arrange an initial session.

This way we will have the opportunity to meet, and you can then work out if I am the right therapist for you.

I look forward to hearing from you soon

 A little  about me

I was raised in Greece by a Greek father and English mother and speak both languages.

I have a wealth of life experience and have travelled down many difficult paths in my life. By this I mean that I have lived experience of the many of the issues people bring to therapy. My lived experience allows me a deep sense of empathy and understanding of the  suffering  of others and how the potential to heal and  grow is in all of us.

 Additional experience

Alongside my Private Practice, I have been working in voluntary and statutory sector, for the last 17 years:  (N.H.S, Homelessness and Drug and Alcohol Services, Women's Services). Here, I have gained experience of working with the more complex issues faced by women and men, such as the impact of sex working/sex trafficking, domestic violence, substance misuse, homelessness and declining mental health.

Qualifications

I hold a Master’s degree in Core Process Psychotherapy, I am a registered member of B.A.C.P and in regular Supervision.

I am currently currently training at the Psychosynthesis Trust in London which on completion will lead to  a Clinical Supervision Diploma. This is an Integrative approach to Therapy and Supervision and brings together Transpersonal humanistic and psychodynamic theory and practice.

I have participated in various training programs and workshops over the years all of which have contributed to my psycho spiritual approach to therapy and my own  personal growth. some of these are: Equine facilitated Psychotherapy ,Family constellations and Shamanic workshops.

Fees

I charge £55 per hourly sessions and for  the initial  hourly session  I charge £45.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
