About me

I specialize in Adult ADHD, Burnout, Anxiety, Depression, and Life Transitions. I have been practising for over 30 years and offer services for individuals, couples, and families both face-to-face and online. I also offer Coaching for Work-related issues, Parenting, and Goal setting.

I offer sessions in English, French, and Spanish.

I believe in an individualized approach which includes an integration of a variety of therapies. There is not just one way of approaching everyone. I place emphasis on client strengths, and issues are viewed as life's challenges that call for new and innovative solutions. Fostering an empathic trustworthy relationship is paramount as well as maintaining full confidentiality. We work in partnership and I see my role as a facilitator of that growth.

My practice is conveniently located in Maida Vale, next to St John's Wood and Marylebone and a stone's throw from Central London.

I comfortably offer Skype, Facetime, or Zoom sessions recognizing that the world has changed. People move, change jobs, have limited time, increased expectations to perform, and look for the option of continuity once our relationship involves trust and engagement.

I offer a choice of long-term or time limited work depending on their need. A client may elect to do a piece of work, and return later to work on another issue. Once we have an established and positive working relationship, my door remains open to additional services.

Before our initial consultation, I will have a brief intake telephone conversation with you at which time we discuss your main reason for contacting me, availability, as well as fees and insurance information.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an accredited registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by its code of ethics. I am also fully licensed in the USA and the Netherlands. My formal training was acquired in the USA, I lived for 11 years in the Netherlands, and now have a private practice in London.

I believe that for me to offer the highest quality service to my clients, it is important to attend conferences on a regular basis. As an experienced therapist, I am in constant contact with new developments in the USA and Europe through international conferences and associations. I share the latest developments with clients when appropriate or useful and recommend guided reading.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

If this is your first experience seeking therapy or coaching it can feel difficult to take the first step. It is important for you to feel comfortable, understood, and heard. I aim to offer a supportive space for this reason. The benefits of counseling and coaching are limitless when therapist and client work together. Viewing an issue from multiple sides and recognizing the impasses and options are essential to being able to move forward.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
