About me
Hello!
Thank you for visiting my profile on Counselling Directory. It can feel a bit scary to look for a counsellor and start therapy when you have never done this before. But just by looking on the directory, you have taken that first step to empowering yourself to look after your mental health.
I am a experienced fully qualified counsellor who offers a safe, confidential, and professional counselling service for individuals seeking to cope with and understand their own problems. Being Person-Centered means that I work with you in a sensitive and supportive way to help you explore and understand your own thoughts and feelings better. I won't judge you, or make you feel embarrassed- and when you feel ready we can try and find some solutions that help you.
Simply put, it’s about giving you an opportunity to talk to someone and clear your mind.
For the last 13 years I have worked as a counsellor in a few different areas - bereavement, supporting families affected by substance misuse and counselling in sexual assault support services. Alongside my private practice, I also work as a Counsellor at a further education college supporting students with their mental health.
If you get a feeling that I may be a good fit for you or you'd like to ask any questions, please do reach out for a quick, no-obligation chat. It’s important to me that it feels comfortable for both of us to work together.
I am currently working online only.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
