About me

Hi, I am Helen, a qualified Integrative Counsellor registered with the BACP.
I can help and support you through difficult times in your life by listening and understanding your perspective.

Providing a safe space can lead you to find a way forward when issues, thoughts, and feelings are taking up your mind space.

Counselling can help you achieve a unique viewpoint during challenging times, and events that have happened or are currently happening in your life.

Counselling places you in the driving seat, allowing you to dictate the speed of your progress and what you wish to explore in each session. Doing so puts you in charge of your own goals by exploring your self-awareness and development.
This allows you to implement lifelong changes throughout your journey.

I offer you a warm, welcoming, friendly, and confidential environment where you can freely explore what you choose to bring to each session. I listen without judgement and work professionally, entirely at your pace.

Training, qualifications & experience

I currently work with Children, Young People and Adults in both private practice and for an organisation within primary and high schools.
Previously I have worked with adults 18 and over as a volunteer counsellor within the NHS, supporting clients with a range of issues such as anxiety, stress, anger, depression, low self-esteem, work concerns, relationship issues, and bereavement.

I stay up to date with relevant training and qualifications to ensure I am providing the best support and knowledge to clients.
Every 12 months I attend safeguarding training, bereavement training, data security and many others.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
