About me

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile. Finding a therapist can be daunting and it’s so important to find one you feel comfortable with. There’s absolutely no obligation, but please call or email and we can chat about how I may be able to help. It would be a privilege to speak with you.

I work with many concerns but If you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, grief and loss or simply need to be heard so you can begin to understand why you feel like you do; please get in touch. Change in our lives happen for a variety of reasons, and it can arrive unannounced and unexpected-turning our world upside down. I work creatively tapping into the mind/body connection to enable you to recognise those triggers that can send you into turmoil.

I know personally how hard it can be to reach out as in this modern world where there are so many ways to stay connected, we can often feel isolated and alone. I am here to offer my 35 year experience of caring and supporting people in the community through some of their most difficult times. Together we can create a safe, caring space where you can feel valued and respected without judgement; have time to explore what is at the heart of those thoughts that often get buried or are too emotional to even think about.

Anxiety, racing thoughts, guilt and sometimes shame can be so overwhelming, it can feel like there is no escape. Active listening is a key part of counselling, so it's important to find a counsellor that you feel you can build a trusting relationship with.

Please contact me for your no obligation 30 minute telephone appointment. I'd love to speak with you and see if I may be able to help.

I also offer Walk and Talk therapy, being out in the fresh air can offer you more freedom to talk, it reduces anxiety and can improve physical health. It’s a way of connecting safely together and, for some, can feel a more natural way of working together.

Along with my private practice I am also a volunteer bereavement counsellor for my local hospice.

My sessions currently are via telephone, Zoom, WhatsApp or Walk and Talk therapy.
Face to Face - Please contact me as resuming shortly.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
