About me

Change in our lives happen for a variety of reasons, and it can arrive unannounced and unexpected-turning our world upside down.
I know personally how hard it can be to reach out as in this modern world where there are so many ways to stay connected, we can often feel isolated and alone.  Together we can create a safe, caring space where you can feel valued and respected without judgement; have time to explore what is at the heart of those thoughts that often get buried or are too emotional to even think about.

Anxiety, racing thoughts, guilt and sometimes shame can be so overwhelming, it can feel like there is no escape. Active listening is a key part of counselling, so it's important to find a counsellor that you feel you can build a trusting relationship with.

Please contact me for your no obligation 30 minute telephone appointment. I'd love to speak with you and see if I may be able to help.

I also offer Walk and Talk therapy, being out in the fresh air can offer you more freedom to talk, it reduces anxiety and can improve physical health. It’s a way of connecting safely together and, for some, can feel a more natural way of working together.

Along with my private practice I was also a volunteer bereavement counsellor for my local hospice.

My sessions currently are via telephone, Zoom, WhatsApp or Walk and Talk therapy.
Face to Face - Please contact me as resuming shortly.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
