About me
I work with both individuals and couples who are seeking to enrich their lives. I have been studying and practicing since 2006 and am fully accredited with NCPS, member with ACC and student member with COSRT, with integrity, honesty and compassion at the heart of what I do.
I am the Founding Director of The Wellbeing Garden Bath on our family owned 5-acre estate at the base of Solsbury Hill and have worked for and led charities for many years. The Wellbeing Garden offers affordable, lower cost therapy, please reach out to me if you are looking to work with one of our counsellors-in-training.
Are you feeling anxious or have low self-esteem? Are you worried about your relationship or your family? Are you struggling with overwhelm or having concerns at work, feel frustrated and stuck? Do you need a safe and confidential space to share some of these feelings with an experience and qualified person who will sit with you without fear or judgement?
There can be times in our lives when we face difficult and painful situations; it’s in these times when talking to someone can help. Family and friends can be very helpful but sometimes we need to talk to someone who we don’t know who can listen to us impartially, with empathy and in confidence.
I am a warm, approachable and compassionate therapist. I have a diploma in couple therapy and have completed the Externship and Core Skills training in Emotionally Focussed Couple Therapy (EFT) with the British and International Emotionally Focussed Couple Training (BEFT / ICEEFT). I am also currently studying Psychosexual & Relationship Psychotherapy with the London Diploma.
I have completed Supervision Training with CSTD Bath (Centre for Supervision, Training and Development). CSTD Bath is endorsed by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a "Recognised Supervision Training" and checks all UKCP's requirements for supervision training.
I would describe my counselling approach as integrative drawing on person-centred, emotionally focussed therapy (EFT) transactional analysis, psychodynamic, systemic and the spiritual in a significant way.
I have many years of experience and working for two charities has given me vast experience with a range of difficulties and presenting issues. I provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore your concerns without judgement. All of your thoughts and feelings are important and need to be heard and honoured to gain understanding.
If you want to find out more, please call me to leave a message or email me and I will make contact with you within 24 hours. I am happy to speak with you on the phone before we meet if you will find that useful.
I offer appointments via Teams/telephone call and in-person for 50 or 90 minutes and at our first meeting we will have the opportunity to explore what is bothering you and think about whether therapy is right for you at this time.
I work short and long term, whichever suits you and this is something we can discuss when we first meet. Once we have agreed to work together, we will decide on suitable times to meet.
