About me

I am a fully qualified counsellor who is extremely passionate about a persons wellbeing.

My aim is to work with you on the challenges you face, why they affect you the way they do, and how you can move forward with awareness and a deeper understanding of yourself.

sometimes it can be hard to find the words to express how you are feeling, however, I am here to support you and we will find ways to explore and gently dig a little deeper together.

Throughout my training I have studied a range of therapeutic theories, giving me the ability to use an integrative approach and tailor to an individuals needs. At the very heart of my counselling is a commitment to developing a secure relationship. One in which you feel safe, accepted, unjudged, and heard.

We live in what can be an hectic and chaotic world. One in which it can be hard to pause, breathe, and reflect on what is going on for you. Counselling can offer the opportunity to do just that, and find greater understanding, fresh perspective, and a stronger sense of self.

Sessions will last for 50 minutes. They are held in a warm and welcoming space.

I work on an open-ended basis so we can go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. We will regularly review the sessions to see how you are feeling with the process.

Online appointments are also available for those who may find this more suitable.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and work within the BACP Ethical Framework.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
