Hello and welcome. You have made a commitment to your wellbeing by looking for a counsellor. I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and counsellor, and use a variety of approaches depending on individual need. More important than the approach that a therapist uses, is the relationship that they build with their client. I will work with you to build a relationship that is based on trust, safety, and acceptance.
In our work together, I will help you to find your own strengths and solutions. I believe that my clients have spent a good part of their lives coping and I consider it a privilege to be able to help them to do so again.
I have over 10 years experience in counselling in both individual and organisational roles and have experience of working with a wide variety of issues including: Anxiety, depression, OCD, stress, life transitions and trauma.
Training, qualifications & experience
I became interested in counselling and psychotherapy when I was studying for my psychology degree. After a career in teaching psychology I went on to train as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) I have a great deal of experience in working with anxiety and depression as well as bereavement and loss, both in private practice and as part of organisations.
