I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and use this approach in my work with clients who are working their way through issues like anxiety and depression. CBT is very flexible and there is a way of working that will suit most people. I am trained in other therapeutic approaches and I am also a trained CRUSE bereavement counsellor. I find my work fascinating, and I learn as much from my clients as they do from me.
In our work together I will help you to find your own strengths and solutions. I believe that my clients have spent a good part of their lives coping and I consider it a privilege to be able to help them to do so again.
Training, qualifications & experience
I became interested in counselling and psychotherapy when I was studying for my psychology degree. After a career in teaching psychology I went on to train as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) I have a great deal of experience in working with anxiety and depression as well as bereavement and loss, both in private practice and as part of organisations.
