About me

Hello and welcome to my profile! Thank you for popping on and having a read. I am Helen and hope you find what you're looking for on my profile. I understand how hard life can be especially when you have a lot of different stresses or struggling with a loss. You may feel hurt, angry or confused due to all the different emotions you're going through at the moment. Do you every feel fed up with not being listened to? Do you have well-meaning family and friends who give advice with "if I was you?" when you feel you just need to be heard?

Well, take a breath and contact me, I will offer a safe and warm space for you so you feel comfortable enough to be able to open up about your difficult situation. I understand that looking for a counsellor is a big step and can be nerve wracking for you. I work online and telephone and can be flexible, I have a room where no one can hear or see so whatever you discuss will not be overheard. This will help you feel in a confidential environment to be able to open up. I offer a free 15 minutes initial session so I can understand what your situation is and if I can help. This also gives you the opportunity to see if we gel and you feel happy to start counselling sessions with me.  I will soon be able to offer face to face in Wrexham town centre once I have done a Covid 19 check to make sure I keep you and myself safe.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
