Helen Germaine Psychotherapy & Counselling Services

About me
My private practice is located in the heart of Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire. My service accepts referrals from the NHS, Employment Assistance Programmes and from Private Clients.
I work with individual clients and couples within a safe and confidential space. I offer both Brief and focal Counselling, working within short term parameters towards the specific goals of the client, and Longer term Psychotherapy, working at greater depth exploring dysfunctional historical patterns of relating, with the aim of heightening awareness in order to provide the opportunity for a more choiceful way of relating to self and others.
Common issues explored in Counselling and Psychotherapy might include: Trauma; Abuse; Trust; Fear of intimacy; Ambivalent Feelings; Abandonment issues; Attachment issues; Depression; Loss; Eating disorder; Self harm; Unstable relationship patterns; Manipulative and antisocial behaviour; Impulsivity.
