If you seriously would like to take the journey of change & any of these words below resonate with you grab your backpack so we can explore what's inside...

Change, safe, self-worth, internal locus of evaluation, acceptance, trust, self-exploration, emotional expression, empowerment, intrinsic motivation, transition, connection, self-compassion, heard, respect, feelings, curiosity, transition, growth

I'll meet you were you are and join you on your journey, there's no need to be alone!

BELOW CAN COME ACROSS AS WAFFLE BUT DOES IT RELATE TO YOU?

Do you presently feel overwhelmed with feelings such as guilt, shame, anxiety or stress when you sneak a peek in the back pack of life you carry. Do you self-attack, self-criticise, self-doubt or self-blame? or is there anger towards others that you feel have wronged you, that you believe to be unjust & unfair. How about we tip out the contents and look together at all the emotions within from a perspective of kindness and compassion, no matter what might be inside? Sifting through at your own pace, looking curiously at your 'stuff'.  What leads you to emotional unrest & negative thinking and what will bring forth a sense of certainty, self-assurance & positive thoughts.Whatever it is that troubles you, keeps you restless, you find impossible to share, I'm walking beside you, without judgement, as you actively seek answers.

Experienced, confident & competent to support you with the weight you bare. My core is Person Centred therapy, a Humanistic Approach.

My role is a facilitator of change. I have expertise to understand the underlying reasons behind behaviours, anxiety, thoughts & feelings. There are techniques which break detrimental cycles of negative thinking. We can explore these techniques.  I offer high support with curious questioning, always asked with warmth and kindness to aid understanding. Allowing you to see how life can be!

I do understand it can be scary to communicate our true selves, share our inner monologue, and our shadow side. However, by letting vulnerability show itself, taking off the mask one wears for an hour, you can be true to yourself, allowing you to focus on the changes you wish to action & how you can make them a reality. I'm here to support you in that process.

I have supported clients through varied complexed life experiences such as being trapped in patterns of co-dependency behaviour & narcissistic abuse. I have enjoyed  worked with many neurodivergent clients. I've worked in the Health care sector supporting clients with learning disabilities.

If you choose the outdoor option....

Walking is a fantastic outlet for stress, helping your body to release endorphins, your natural 'happy hormones'.  Within a nature reserve setting, let the winter sunshine renew & energise, allowing new insights to develop & giving yourself permission to let go of some of the heavy contents you carry. Even just rearranging & prioritising can be empowering! Ultimately, working towards a lightweight traveller, manoeuvring more skilfully & mindfully through a world we all live upon & are trying to survive!

Let the stream wash away your stress as you view & hear it bubble with excitement of your willingness to explore, through nature, your ability to shift & change.

I am a registered member of the British Association of counselling & Psychotherapy & therefore adhere to their Ethical Framework. This ensures regular training, qualifications & experience.

I offer a woodland walk or an online meeting. Book one session for a specific issue, or look at weekly or fortnightly slots, its your choice!

Though each session is private you are welcome to have near someone you know & trust ( includes your dog)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
