About me
Hello, I’m Helen, a Chartered Clinical Psychologist specialised in supporting individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges. These include difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and stress related to school, work, or daily life. I also provide support for caregivers dealing with common concerns in children, such as managing challenging behaviour, sleep difficulties, separation anxiety, and fears or phobias. For more information about me and the services I offer, please visit my website.
Life can bring a variety of challenges at every stage, whether you're navigating school, work, relationships, or personal identity. These pressures can often feel overwhelming and impact your emotional well-being. Similarly, for caregivers or parents, supporting loved ones while managing your own stress can be a delicate balance.
I understand how difficult it can be to seek help, regardless of your age or situation. My approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative, offering a safe and supportive space to explore concerns and develop resilience and effective coping strategies.
In addition to my private practice, I lead a mental health team in the NHS, working across primary school and secondary settings providing support directly to individuals, families and educators. This experience has given me valuable insight into the unique challenges people face throughout their lives, from childhood and adolescence to adulthood and caregiving roles.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or a loved one, I’m here to help. Together, we can work towards a healthier, more balanced emotional well-being. If you’re ready to explore support options, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to listen.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of NHS experience and hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Canterbury Christ Church University. I work part-time for the NHS as a Clinical Lead for a Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMH) team that provides mental health support within primary and secondary schools across a London borough. In this role, I offer individual interventions, group sessions, and workshops for young people and their families, as well as provide training and consultation to school staff.
I apply a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mentalisation-Based Therapy (MBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). This diverse skill set allows me to tailor interventions to the unique needs of each individual and family I work with.
