Helen Carey - Intregative Counsellor
I am a qualified integrative therapist on the Bedfordshire / Hertfordshire border.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I offer one hour sessions by phone, video call or face-to face.
My passion in human value and connection drives my work. I work alongside clients who look to understand how their place in the world, childhood, experience or habitual thinking influences their everyday lives. In my practice I work alongside theories of inner-part work, inner-conflict and negativity. I endeavour to work collaboratively with clients to explore unique and individual thoughts, emotions, behaviours and obstacles that may cloud perspectives, and shadow choice. I work respectfully and without judgement. I offer transparency and the opportunity for reflection.
I feel privileged to facilitate the opportunity for clients from all walks of life to make their own change.
My usual working days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
I will endeavour to reply to any enquiry within 24 hours.
Our first contact will establish what you hope to gain from therapy and what I can offer. You may wish to discuss this by phone or email. I will provide a 30 min telephone consultation free of charge.
Should you feel what I offer is right for you, a personal assessment and agreed working alliance will take place in our first session.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
