With so many therapist to chose from where do you begin...all the research shows that it is the quality of the relationship between you and your therapist that supports improvements in your life. I'm qualified and accredited to work with adults, adolescents, children, couples and have a particular interest and expertise in working with pregnancy, birth and the early years. For you to be able to speak your mind to your therapist is key, I'd invite you to email or phone me to arrange an appointment and see if we click.
I'm fascinated by relationships, the difficulties and anxieties that arise within them, how they affect our health and well being and the most effective ways of restoring balance to our lives.
As a nurse, I was attracted to Accident and Emergency Nursing where I found that deep, honest and open relationships arose in the presence of profound difficulties caused by sudden illness, trauma or death. This led to an interest in psychology, which I studied at University.
Having children stimulated me to train in Active Birth, pregnancy and post-natal yoga, reflexology, spiritual healing, reiki, baby massage, breast feeding counselling and yoga for children and adults and most recently as a pre and perinatal psychology and health educator.
The 93% of communication unaccounted for by language allows us to understand each other through feelings that then translate into behaviour, emotions, memories, sudden flashes of inspiration, etc. I'll help you build a bridge to the realization of who you are and your full potential, allowing you to understand yourself and others more fully. Parents find they are able to communicate with their newborn baby, pre-verbal toddlers, teenagers and even each other when upset has taken away words.
Whether you are young or old, a couple, family or individual I will provide a space where you can speak about what’s on your mind and explore your thoughts and feelings. She will be looking for the patterns and beliefs that hold you back, for the places were words and actions are incongruent and gently reveal insights and understanding as to why you do what you do and restore the flow that nature intended. She is intuitive and responsive backed by a wealth of knowledge.
