I am a qualified and experienced accredited counsellor who has years of experience of working with both adults, young people and children. I work from a secure environment in a safe, none-judgemental confidential way.
I think that good therapy involves a balance between empathetic listening, and thoughtful interventions. For some it might be helpful to learn new ways of coping with challenging events, and for others it might be more important to feel safe to talk and be understood.
I have worked as a counsellor in a wide range of settings: schools colleges, NHS, as well as within private practice.
I have experience of working with many issues including:
- relationship problems
- domestic violence
- anger management.
Whatever issue you bring I aim to work at your own pace to explores thoughts and feelings to gain more self-awareness and ultimately to work towards a more satisfying and fulfilling life.
I work with adults, young people and children on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period. I often initially suggest 6 sessions, working collaboratively and deciding a goal we wish to reach, thereafter we review our progress and decide if more sessions are required
I'm bound by the BACP code of ethics and committed to clinical excellence.
I would be happy to hear from you and to speak to you individually about the service I offer.
Thanks for your time and for looking at my profile.
