About me
I am a qualified and experienced integrative person-centred counsellor, tailoring my style to suit each client and their therapeutic goals. I work one-to-one with adults (18+) and older people experiencing a range of difficulties including low mood, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, life transitions and change and health issues. I have a special interest in menopause wellness and grief and loss. I completed the majority of my counsellor training at my local hospice where I worked with family members of patients who were nearing the end of life. It was a privilege to support them through some of their most challenging times.
My small groups run weekly and focus on mental well-being and include topics such as stress, anxiety and self-esteem, grief and loss, and a menopause wellness group that aims to support anyone in peri-menopause, menopause and post-menopause with their challenging symptoms (Menopause groups to start in January 2025).
Training, qualifications & experience
BSc (Hons) Counselling, Dip. Menopause Wellness, registered BACP member.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
It is often easier to talk to someone impartially, rather than family or friends and like many others, my experiences in life and work have shown me how complex life can be. Every one of us experiences, and navigates, adversity and opportunity in our own unique way and I can offer you a safe, confidential space to explore the complex issues you face in a way that suits you. My private practice is part of Discovery Counselling and Wellbeing Services based in Worle High Street. It is a comfortable and welcoming office, where we provide dedicated, trustworthy and ethical one-to-one counselling, and small group, mental health wellness services for our community.
