I have worked as a counsellor for over twenty years in the private, public and voluntary sectors.
I offer a secure place which supports people to talk openly through their difficulties. It is not easy to find a starting point but feeling safe can be the corner stone to finding personal strength and from here it is possible to begin to explore your past and present traumas. The pace of the counselling is decided by you and I will support you to gain understanding of yourself, your relationships and your challenges. Counselling while gentle, is also powerful as it will free you from pain and enable lives to be lived without fear.
You hopefully will be empowered to find a way through your pain by looking at your own resources to develop strategies to enable you to heal and comfort yourself.
I understand how difficult talking about painful emotions can be as I have made use of counselling myself in the past and recognise that I will use personal counselling again, in the future.
I have supported people to work their way through the following:-
- Post natal depression
- Self esteem
- Relationship difficulties
- Sexual abuse
- Domestic Violence
