Headstuff ADHD Liberty - Addiction & Offending Specialists
HEADSTUFF ADHD LIBERTY - Addiction & Offending Specialists
Do you have a child who has an addiction problem or has landed in trouble with the police? Or are you an adult always finding themselves in sticky situations due to offending behaviour or addiction? If so Headstuff ADHD Liberty can help you.
We know about the link between addiction and crime. We know how far too many ADHD children and adults go undiagnosed and end up with one or more addictive behaviours, often supported by criminal activity.
We are a specialist team of ADHD psychotherapists and counsellors, CBT therapists, youth counsellors, young offender specialists and addiction/substance misuse therapists. Our aim is to give you or your child liberty and freedom from addiction and crime.
Most of our therapists are diagnosed ADHD themselves so they really understand risk-taking and thrillseeking behaviour. Some of our therapists have addiction pasts and work knowledgeably, non-judgementally and with years of personal experience of just how tough conquering an addiction can be.
Our young offender specialist counsellors work with teenagers going off the rails all over the UK. As ex-prison counsellors themselves, they work passionately and diligently to make sure ADHD teenagers do not end up behind bars because of either diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD.
For those already in trouble, we can link you up with our team of ADHD/ASD informed solicitors and barristers. We can liaise between them, you and your child - with our specialist knowledge of how ADHD traits have impacted a crime - which can make the necessary difference - keeping your child out of a young offender institute.
For teenagers still enamoured with a life of crime, we have ex-offenders, now reformed, who will sit and talk honestly to your child about what life in prison is REALLY like. We also have ADHD offenders currently serving prison sentences who will write to your child to give them the hard-hitting, but true picture of the horrors that await them in prison.
If you are tired of fighting your child’s school who refuse to see anything wrong with their behaviour and are against children ‘being labelled’, when you yourself are convinced they have ADHD, please talk to us. We can help by assessing your child ourselves and fast tracking you through either the NHS or private diagnosis route.
If addiction or crime has wreaked havoc in your home, we have qualified Family Mediation therapists who will work with you to bring harmony back to your home. However impossible that might seem for you right now. Two of our therapists are very experienced in working with children who have been excluded from school and when social services are involved. We can advocate for you.
We have two ADHD specialist Psychiatrists on our team. One who specialises in ADHD & addiction and the other one who specialises in ADHD & offending. If you suspect your child has ADHD but have been struggling to get a diagnosis, we can fast track you through the process with one of our own team.
Here at Headstuff ADHD Liberty we are passionate about helping people with ADHD. Having ADHD ourselves we totally understand why ADHD teenagers and adults can end up in some very tricky situations. We don’t judge. We totally understand why these things have happened and we will do our absolute best to help you - in what can be very scary and confusing times for teens, adults and families who have never found themselves involved with addiction or the law before.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
