I am an 18 years post-qualified person-centred counsellor. I create a space that is safe and open to whatever feelings you need to explore.
I work with individuals, couples, and families. I have experience supporting children and young people, and adults of all ages. My aim is to ensure that everyone I support feels heard.
Telling your story is not always an easy journey. The counselling that I offer can gently explore any issues that you need to discuss.
I specialise in counselling for trauma, addiction, split family/separation issues, LGBTQ related issues, abuse, bullying, depression, anxiety, and stress, domestic and sexual violence, and bereavement.
I run my practice from two locations in Brighton and Hove, and can also meet with clients in Newhaven and Eastbourne.
Training, qualifications & experience
In 1998 I gained my Pre-Diploma in Counselling, from the University of Sussex.
In 2000 I qualified in an accredited Post-Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, from the University of Strathclyde.
In 2010 I qualified as a Clinical Supervisor, on an accredited course from the University of Plymouth.
In 2014 I gained my Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision, affiliated with the National Counselling Service.
I have worked extensively in both public and voluntary sector organisations; offering support in homelessness, stress, abuse, mental health issues, bereavement, and counselling support for survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
More recently I managed and offered counselling support; running a service for a charity that offers therapeutic care to children, young people and their families in the Brighton & Hove community.
