About me
Hi, I’m Sophia!
I’m a specialist social anxiety and low self-confidence psychotherapist, accredited by the BABCP.
But before that, I was a child who suffered with extreme eczema, too afraid to be seen by others. I get what it feels like when negative perception by others can be your worst fear.
Do you find yourself overthinking social interactions? Perhaps you're successful in many ways, yet anxiety stops you from living fully - declining invitations, people pleasing, trying to control your image, or feeling like an outsider.
At work, maybe you rehearse excessively before speaking in meetings or presenting. In your personal life, maybe you long for deeper connections but fear of judgment holds you back.
If you're tired of not being your authentic confident self, when you have so much to offer, together we can help you become someone who builds meaningful relationships and embraces life with authentic confidence. Someone who is not limited by low self-confidence.
I’ve devoted my career to learning everything there is to know about social anxiety, low self-confidence and low self esteem. With 6 years experience in mental health, including senior roles supervising and training other therapists in the NHS, I bring both expertise and deep understanding to my work.
I believe mental healthcare should be specialised, just like physical healthcare. You wouldn't see a general practitioner for a specific heart condition – why should mental health be different? That's why I focus exclusively on anxiety related to social anxiety, low-self confidence, self esteem and performance anxiety.
As seen in VeryWellMind, Health.com, Healthline, AskMen and Yahoo.
Training, qualifications & experience
I bring 6 years of mental health experience, including 4 years delivering CBT interventions. Within the NHS, I've trained and supervised other therapists, ensuring the highest standards of care. My extensive experience allows me to offer expert, evidence-based support tailored to your needs.
I use evidence-based top down therapies (working with thoughts and behaviour) such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy.
I may also incorporate bottom up therapies (working with the brain and body) such as Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
