About me

Hi, my name is Hannah. I offer:

I support any issue needing to be addressed. My specialist expertise areas are: stress, anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, disability, pain management, young people, forces personnel.

If you are struggling with anything in life and feel you need to talk, or work this through, I can help. I offer a safe, calm space in central Newbury for you to get the support you need. I am a direct, kind, empathetic and creative person and I bring this into my counselling space. I am happy to listen, but also challenge, if that is helpful. I offer counselling sessions, plus a range of creative approaches to help people learn to trust, engage and work through whatever issues they bring. I try to make counselling as accessible as possible so that everyone can access support as and when they need it, including low cost sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • QLS Level 7 Post Qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People- to qualify March 2025. This course will support an expansion of my portfolio from age 4+ instead of 11+.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy- accredited member of NCS.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy- University of Coventry.

Experience of being a qualified BA degree level Senior Social Worker with specialisms in Mental Health and Youth Offending and Practice Education (supporting university level students).

BA degree level in Performing Arts from the University of Birmingham (this can be useful to know for clients interested in the craft/creative sessions).

  • EMDR qualified.
  • Life Coaching qualified.
  • ILM Management and Leadership Certificate level 5.
  • Safeguarding Level 3 DSL (previously for many years was a L7 train the trainer).

I have mixed availability, depending on your needs, room hire. I have some flexibility, so please enquire to see if there are spaces and when these are. 

Further information

My background is in counselling, youth work, youth offending, social work, mental health hospitals, teaching, delivering psycho-education, delivering group work programs to police officers, local schools and adult mental health groups, training people in safeguarding and equality & diversity, mindfulness and court work. I still work actively in mental health and keep my CPD updated.

All sessions are 50 minutes long. Sessions need to be paid for within 48 hours of taking place. I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation for you to ask any questions you may have.
