Hannah Jagger

MBACP Registered Counsellor
Sheffield S7 & Stockport SK12

About me

Everyone is different, and this means that you will respond to certain events in life in a different way. I will work with you in a way that is individual to your needs and your pace.

I am warm, non-judgemental and have a gentle approach to all experiences brought to me in the sessions. Together, we can discuss how many sessions you may need. I am able to offer short and long-term courses.

For parents: I have worked with children as young as 5 years old up to 18. If you feel like your child needs intervention or support, I am happy to discuss the needs of your child with you and we can create a session plan together. I work with children using the PACE framework (Playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy).  I also have experience working with looked after children and care leavers.

Training, qualifications & experience

Over the past 10 years, I have worked in various settings with a vast range of different people including children and adults. I have experience in the community, hospital settings and in the private sector.

I have a first class degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy (BSc) and a Masters in Psychology (MSc). I am also a registered member of the BACP.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
