About me
- Who Am I?
Hello, my name’s Guy and I’m a therapist.
- How have I helped clients before?
I’ve helped clients through difficult transitions, I’ve helped clients to gain clarity and positivity, and I’ve helped clients to overcome various life challenges.
- How are my clients after our work together?
Clients have come to work with me in a state of low confidence and uncertainty, and together we’ve been able to increase self esteem and develop an acceptance of what is certain and what is uncertain.
- What problems do I solve, and what solutions do I give my clients?
We will solve problems together through a strong therapeutic alliance, while I create a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment. I regularly seek feedback from clients about their experience in therapy, address any concerns promptly, and adapt my approach to align with their preferences and needs.
- What do my clients say about me?
My clients have described me as professional, flexible, comforting
- How do I work?
We will collaboratively establish clear treatment expectations, goals, and a roadmap. We will talk about the therapeutic process and the anticipated outcomes, which will help you to remain engaged and committed to therapy. We will regularly revisit and adjust these goals based on your progress, which will foster a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
We will develop a strong therapeutic alliance that is found in a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment. Your feedback and concerns will allow me to adapt to your needs.
My professional experience will allow me to tailor my therapeutic approach to match your unique characteristics and preferences. Rather than use a manualised approach, I like to make use of personalised interventions that resonate with your individual strengths and challenges. We will periodically assess and discuss progress to ensure that the treatment plan remains relevant and effective.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2009. I trained in the person-centred approach. I continue to learn about current approaches to therapy from different perspectives.
I am a qualified professional with training, skills and insurance. I’m an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (NCS22-00867), but my approach is not too formal. Being a counsellor includes having a sense of humour. While we look at whatever it is that’s causing you to look for help, we won’t be afraid to also look at the lighter side of things.
