About me

Hello. I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has successfully worked in the NHS since 2001 in a variety of services. Working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, I have gained invaluable experience helping people with a wide range of psychological difficulties and have had the privilege of witnessing many people on their journey of mental health recovery. I appreciate that it is not easy talking about personal issues and difficulties and so I strive to offer a warm, professional and confidential service which is tailored to meet my client's needs. I take care to respect and work within existing belief systems which may be cultural, spiritual and/or religious. My aim as a therapist is to help make the therapeutic experience a meaningful one which can be generalised and utilised in day to day life.

I predominantly use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) as the main model of treatment whilst incorporating third wave CBT treatments such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) mindfulness and compassion focused therapy (CFT). For single event and multiple traumas I use either trauma focused CBT (TF-CBT), narrative exposure therapy (NET) or eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) and am happy to use EMDR to treat a variety of presentations in line with the emerging evidence base. Underpinning much of my work with clients are positive psychology and solution focused frameworks.

I am pleased to be able to offer effective psychological therapy for a number of mental health difficulties for young people and adult, including:

  • Anger
  • Anxiety (phobias, health, panic, OCD, social anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder)
