About me

Psychotherapy

I am a Psychological Therapist and am accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have been working in Mental Health services for the past 20 years. I currently practice as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with people experiencing common mental health difficulties including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma (PTSD) and many other types of difficulty. I am also fully qualified in Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). This enables me to work in a more focused way with interpersonal difficulties including complicated grief and relationship difficulties.

How I work

After you make contact with me I will invite you for an initial session giving us the opportunity to discuss what is troubling you. We will usually decide at the end of the first session how we will proceed with therapy. I generally offer weekly sessions at an allocated time, and this will be discussed when we first meet.

I provide one-to-one psychotherapy predominantly from a CBT and an Interpersonal perspective, however I also Catholic Theological Teaching in my practice.
