My name is Greg. I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor based in Norwich. Working in a Person-Centred way means I want to place your experience at the heart of our work together. I will offer a safe place, free from judgment and opinion, where you can explore the issues that are troubling you. Over time I hope you will experience being deeply understood and accepted - this will underpin our therapeutic work.
A good therapeutic relationship can enable personal growth, provide the much-needed movement you may be seeking and begin or enhance the process towards self-acceptance. Being stuck in a potentially damaging situation or engaging in harmful behaviour can feel like the only way of coping. However, by developing self-awareness through counselling you can become more familiar with the initial triggers that lead to manifesting unhelpful ways of living.
Counselling at times can be a challenging exploration; I will work alongside you in your therapeutic process, supporting you in your work. I am very open to hearing how the process feels for you as the client. I welcome your feedback and thoughts throughout our time of working together.
With this in mind I offer an exploratory session to potential clients at a reduced hourly rate so that both the client and I can see whether we feel able to work together. During this session I will explain more about my practice, the service I can offer and my GDPR (privacy notice). Initial contact should be made by email or telephone. I will then call you back and have a preliminary conversation with you.
Due to the current Covid-19 health crisis I am offering counselling sessions online only. They will take place on a secure and encrypted platform. I will update you as the situation progresses and restrictions are eased.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
