About me

Sometimes we can lose our way in life and we start to wonder what it’s all about. I believe that we all have an ’emerging purpose’ even if we are not aware of it. Counselling is a way of tuning into our purpose by working through the blocks and resistances that show up in our lives in the form of addictions, limiting behaviours or even depression. Talking in a safe and confidential space can help us find perspective and clarity, enabling us to step away from anxiety and fully into our own lives.

Probably the most important thing is that you meet with someone who you can get on with and trust. This page will hopefully give you some sense of me as a person, as well as information about my training and approach.

I work in Brighton and online offering weekly sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a post-graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis counselling, and an MA in Psychosynthesis psychotherapy, awarded by the Psychosynthesis Trust.

I have experience in working with:

  • relationship issues
  • co-dependency
  • addictions
  • traumas
  • 12-step members
  • performers
  • family constellations
  • depression
  • self-esteem
  • anxiety & stress
  • panic attacks
  • family & relationship concerns
  • career or life choices
  • and questions of meaning and spirituality.
  • Psychedelic preparation and integration

I also have experience of assisting on the Essentials experiential introduction to Psychosynthesis 4 day course at the Psychosynthesis Trust and facilitating Gilmore groups in the Counselling skills modules.

I spent 20 years working as an actor and enjoy working with creatives of all kinds. Over the past 12 years I’ve worked closely with the NHS, training healthcare professionals in communication skills enabling them to handle extremely difficult situations.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP
UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

What clients have said about working with Greg

“I felt terribly isolated and despairing that I could sustain my caring role when I started counselling.  My counsellor provided a safe space and a strong supportive presence in which to explore my difficulties and I have emerged feeling so much stronger, confident and capable, especially regarding managing change..

My counsellor was an exceptionally gifted listener and very empathic. This meant I could be very open and truthful with him and this has been a powerfully transforming experience for me which I have internalised and will carry with me."
