About me

About my practice

I am highly committed and passionate person. I support people from all walks of life. We all are equal. I have trust in you and everyone’s innate capacity to live a happy life. I am very willing to support you; I feel you have the power with support, to face any challenge, to overcome any obstacle you have to moving forward and living the happiest version of yourself.

With your commitment, step by step, I will accompany you to help you take charge of your own self-care, to build emotional and distress self-mastery, to build on and grow your capacity to respond both intuitively and effectively with adaptive strategies and personally tailored solutions to overcome trauma, illness, relationship or work difficulties or any life challenge you are experiencing.

Where needed "I will get in the trenches with you" and help you build a platform of self confidence, to not only stabilise yourself, but to grow into a more fuller and happier new version of yourself!

I can and will support you to learn to thrive in your life by anchoring, progressively more and more peace, protection, joy, and confidence in your Life.

I will also always encourage you to find and establish meaningful connection with others, to mobilise all the support you need to live the life you want for yourself and those you love around you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a pluralist, integrative and progressive counsellor, trained psychotherapist, and stress management and wellbeing coach based in Glasgow. I have also completed training in spiritual counselling and chaplaincy.

In addition also I am an avid writer (published see my website) meditation practitioner and teacher, psychology and applied biology graduate, with a masters in mental health practice and I am a trained (postgraduate) clinical mental health professional.

I have continuously trained and practiced in the field of personal development and mental well-being for over 20 years. So in short I am eclectic and Will anything in power to help you!

The guidance I offer comes directly from my lived experience as a client receiving therapy, and practice, as an intuitive life coach, mindfulness mediation teacher, yoga practitioner, published author, poet and as a mental health author, academic and experienced mental health and clinical psychology service researcher, clinical auditor (and National Clinical Audit Award Winner for patient involvement) and service improvement project manager (NHS & Charities) facilitator of encounter groups, seasoned community mental health and inpatient service staff and multidisciplinary team mentor, my training as a mental health professional, integrative psychotherapist and spiritual counsellor.

I integrate and offer a wonderful collection and blend of intuitive coaching, deeply insightful psychotherapeutic, inspiring mental health and wellbeing modalities, with profound understanding of transpersonal psychology, grounding meditation, metaphysical methods, uplifting poetry, inspiring creative writing, profound voice connection, and consciousness expanding prayer and yoga mantra practice.

How I can help you

I am focused on helping you find what works for you, and not to spend an 'unnecessary' amount of time going over sore wounds, when you don't need to. This doesn't mean that I will support you  in anyway to deny pain; it means I will support you move through it; I will support you to see sensitively what is happening for you; to gently hold pain in your awareness with real heartfulness for yourself, and purpose in your focus.

I will help you learn to respond sensitively to pain as a window that mirrors and unveils your unconscious beliefs; in facing pain I will support you to help you reframe, transform and transcend these beliefs and experiences, so that you can gain meaningful insights and learn the necessary lessons you need to learn to live and lead a more carefree, uplifting and inspiring Life that suits you!

Together immersed in this supportive counselling relationship you can dismantle your obstacles and create a mindset that is open and free; one that provides you with creative and fresh solutions to resolve any challenges you meet on your path forward.

My professional and personal journey is grounded firmly in over 23 years diverse training and practice.

I pursued my own personal therapy beginning in 1997, so I know how it feels to be on both sides of the chair, or these days more so, counselling room computor screen!.

What I have learned which can help you

From these diverse experiences I discovered and absorbed deeply profound experiential insights into how our psychological and physical challenges develop; how they are maintained by our beliefs, self identity, and how to overcome their negative restrictive impact successfully! Through my long standing commitment to learning how to overcome problems in Life, I have realised we all have the capacity to change the way we experience this world, ourselves and others without feeling we have to speak for lifetimes in therapy!

This does not mean I support in any way shape or form the practice of repressing or bypassing personal or interpersonal challenges, but promote using effective personalised strategies, completing comprehensive intuitive personal inventories of what needs to change in all key areas of your life; then changing your approach to challenges with my support, step by step, to a consistently more compassionate and approach which is effective for you.

By simply being a friend to yourself and others, in a fuller way, you can learn to see all ‘through the eyes of peace, joy and love’, committing to act in accordance with this all inclusive viewpoint will bring improvements in all areas of your Life

I look forward to helping you rise up and out of any 'hole' that you may have fallen in, to stand up supporting yourself to change what you need to change within yourself, using your new gifts to begin and continue to build your own slice of heaven right here on planet earth! You and all of us, thoroughly deserve happiness and to thrive being you! I am ready to share anything that is helpful for you! Reach out I don’t bite! I am here to help! And I am really looking forward to meeting with you!

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
