My name is Graham Bleasdale and I have several years of experience doing both individual and couples counselling. We are all living through challenging times and our mental health is perhaps more important than ever. We all need some professional help at some point in our lives. My priority, as your counsellor, is to offer a safe and confidential place where you can talk and be heard, without judgement of any kind.
We are all different which is why I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, depending upon the person and the issue. My belief is that every person is unique and that each of us has our own individual human potential. Counselling can help us to remove the barriers that are preventing us from reaching our full human potential.
I am trained in Family Systems and also in Mindfulness. Our own family of origin is often key to understanding self-defeating behaviour patterns. We are what we experience. Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy is a proven approach with issues such as anxiety, stress and depression. Mindfulness meditation can help us push the " pause " button on our automatic pilot so that we can get to that stillness inside each of us. That way we can focus less on doing and more on ourselves as a human " being ".
I believe that counselling can help us reach a place of less fear, anxiety and sadness - and bring into our life more hope, gratitude and happiness. And so whatever the issue or issues that you might be facing right now, do take courage. I work with both individuals and couples.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
